Before you book
Terms & Conditions
Please read carefully before completing payment. By submitting payment, you agree to these terms for yourself and everyone included in your booking.
1. Booking & Payment
- A booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
- Full payment is due before the scheduled tour date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All prices are quoted in USD and are not guaranteed until a booking is confirmed with payment.
2. Cancellation by Guest — Refund Policy
- For cancellations 48 hours or more before the scheduled departure, a full refund is available less any non-recoverable third-party costs already paid on the guest's behalf, such as permits, reserve fees, or equipment rental.
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure are non-refundable. At our sole discretion, a credit toward a future booking may be offered instead.
- No-shows are treated as late cancellations and are non-refundable.
- Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@wilderbelizeadventures.com.
3. Safety Cancellations or Changes
Wilder Belize Adventures may cancel, postpone, reroute, or modify a tour where our guides or local authorities determine it is necessary for guest safety. This includes weather, unsafe trail, water, cave, or site conditions, government closures, mechanical failure, insufficient minimum participants, or other conditions where safety cannot reasonably be assured.
If a tour is cancelled before it begins, we may offer a full refund, rescheduling, or credit toward a future tour. If a tour is shortened or modified after departure, no refund is owed for the portion already delivered, though a partial credit may be offered at our discretion. Safety decisions made by guide staff on the ground are final.
4. Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
Outdoor and adventure activities, including hiking, caving, ziplining, snorkeling, diving, boating, and jungle or river excursions, carry inherent risks of injury, illness, or death that cannot be completely eliminated.
- Guests participate voluntarily and with knowledge of these risks.
- Guests assume all risks of participation, including risks arising from the ordinary negligence of Wilder Belize Adventures, its guides, staff, or agents, except where caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.
- Guests release and hold harmless Wilder Belize Adventures, its owners, employees, guides, and affiliates from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from participation in a tour or activity.
- Guests must follow all safety instructions given by guides and staff.
5. Health, Fitness & Suitability
- Guests must disclose medical conditions, physical limitations, allergies, or fitness concerns that could affect safe participation before the tour begins.
- We may refuse or remove a guest from an activity if participation poses a safety risk to that guest or others.
- By booking, guests confirm they are physically fit for the activity level of their selected tour.
6. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical expenses, evacuation, and adventure-activity risks. Wilder Belize Adventures is not responsible for losses that adequate travel insurance would have covered.
7. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, government action, civil unrest, pandemics, strikes, or similar events. The refund or credit options in Section 3 apply in these cases.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed within two business days to the original payment method. Bank or payment-processor fees may be deducted from the refund amount.
9. Changes to Itinerary
We may substitute guides, vehicles, equipment, routes, or sites with a comparable alternative without prior notice where necessary for operational or safety reasons. This does not constitute a material change to the booking.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for a claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount paid for that tour. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost time, missed connections, or unused third-party travel arrangements.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Belize. Disputes are subject to the courts of Belize.
12. Acceptance
By completing payment, the booking guest confirms they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of themselves and everyone included in the booking, including any minors for whom the booking guest accepts full responsibility as legal guardian.
13. Contact
